Iron Horse Trail

Hiked the Iron Horse Trail in Alliance, Ohio. This is located in Stark County https://starkparks.com/parks/iron-horse-trail/. I parked at the trailhead at First Christian Church, 1141 W. Beech St, Alliance, OH 44601. I really enjoyed the walk this morning it was perfect weather with a slight breeze, and I wasn't bothered by mosquitos. There are two trails: one that is paved and goes back to the neighborhood and towards Mount Union. The other trail is crushed limestone that heads south. I took the crushed limestone trail which was very easy and peaceful. This trail wasn't too busy and the few people that I did see were very friendly. There was a plaque on the bridge in remembrance to Candice and for her service to our Country (in the photos).

Trash cans are at the trail head and there are a few benches along the trail. There are some restrooms at a pavilion at the trail head, but I believe this belongs to the church. If so, I got lucky because it was unlocked. So, keep this in mind before visiting in case they are locked next time. I will definitely walk this trail again and the husky seemed to enjoy his self as well.
